The story of Copa cop began in 1994, when my mother Zvonka couldn’t find suitable slippers for her eldest son. Instead of giving up, she took scissors, fabric, and a sewing machine and hand-stitched the first pairs of slippers. She didn’t know then that this simple step would become the foundation of a tradition lasting over 30 years.

The name Copa cop comes from the Slovenian “copa… cop,” the sound of warm footsteps on a wooden floor. With it, we wanted to express softness, homeliness, and the rhythm of children’s steps – simply what slippers represent in every home.

Today, the brand is supported by family – me, Črt, my mother Zvonka, and my partner Klara. We also have a seamstress and reliable external collaborators to help. Together, we ensure that every slipper reflects what we believe in: honesty, quality, natural materials, and local production.

Our models have evolved slowly – from a single pair to textile slippers made of 100% cotton, barefoot slippers with organic cotton for the youngest, and classic leather slippers for all generations. We also produce custom school slippers and promotional slippers for companies.
