The story of Copa cop began in 1994, when my mother Zvonka couldn't find the right slippers for her eldest son. Instead of giving up, she took scissors, fabric, and a sewing machine and hand-sewn the first pair of slippers. Little did she know then that this simple step would become the foundation of a tradition that has lasted for over 30 years.

The name Copa cop comes from the Slovenian "copa… cop", like the sound of warm footsteps on a wooden floor. With it, we wanted to express the softness, homeliness and rhythm of children's steps - simply what slippers represent in every home.

Today, the brand is run by a family – me, Črt , my mother Zvonka and my partner Klara . We also have a seamstress and reliable external collaborators to help us. Together, we ensure that each slipper reflects what we believe in: honesty, quality, natural materials and local craftsmanship .

Our designs have evolved slowly - from a single pair we have created 100% cotton textile slippers, barefoot slippers with organic cotton for the youngest, and classic leather slippers for all generations. We also make custom-made school slippers and promotional slippers for companies .
